Of all the pictures in this series, my border collie, Cirilla, is one of my favorites. She lowered her head to offer a strong glance and rested her paw on a pumpkin, coated in spider webs. She continued raising her paw in the air, which turned out to be ideal even though I begged her to perform another stance. She is rather good at suggesting postures for herself! My younger border collie, Zireael, lit by a crimson rim lamp, is also quite dear. It really reflects her character: brilliantly beautiful yet with a trace of mischief!
