Okay, so the police part of this photo isn’t our main focus. We included it because we’re big fans of hoverbikes and think they’re downright awesome. For decades, Americans have been promised hoverbikes, but they’ve yet to become a reality. Meanwhile, Dubai has taken the lead by integrating them into their police force through the Hoversurf program, which launched back in 2017. But let’s be honest—it hasn’t been smooth sailing
Each hoverbike reportedly costs around $150,000, and the program has faced its fair share of delays. Still, it’s hard not to wonder: Could this be the future of transportation? Imagine the possibilities if the U.S. adopted this technology—commuters zipping above traffic or emergency responders reaching scenes faster. While there are hurdles to overcome, we’re rooting for Dubai to iron out the kinks and maybe, just maybe, bring hoverbikes stateside. After all, who wouldn’t want to see these futuristic rides in action here?
