Hearing barking and clawing from within one of the containers, U.S. Coast Guards were performing a normal examination. A lovely brown puppy sprang out as soon as they opened it, grateful someone had heard her urgent cries. Connie endured more than eight days in the darkness without food or drink. Connie had a complete medical examination. Her adventure left her worn-out, and she was diagnosed with heartworm. On a more cheerful note, Connie is also expecting. For her young, this mom dog so kept strong.
