An abandoned shopping mall in Bangkok
In the heart of Bangkok, Thailand, an abandoned shopping mall has been transformed into an unexpected sanctuary for local wildlife. Following a partial roof collapse, the structure’s upper levels filled with water, creating a sizable pond teeming with life. This new aquatic habitat, however, became a breeding ground for mosquitoes. To combat this, the resourceful residents introduced fish into the water to feast on the mosquito larvae, turning a potential health hazard into an innovative solution for pest control.
