Making the “Halloween spirit” in pictures is mostly about catching the correct mood and discovering something original and fresh, as the concept is most crucial at the start of the creative process! For me, it’s a mix of playful items suggesting frightening themes with natural features like golden autumn leaves and dramatic lighting. We utilized plenty of pumpkins—my favorite Halloween staple—this year, and my buddy who helped with the shoot even carved a pumpkin herself to use as a headpiece. Actually, this is true, which gave more joy and authenticity! To intensify the “spooky” mood and create an unsettling glow, I also added colored lights—especially red and orange.
