Okay, so the Amish would probably be driving regular cars if they allowed themselves to use modern vehicles. But these rims definitely look like something you’d see on an old-school buggy. That said, this setup also appears pretty risky. Those rims, stacked side by side, barely seem capable of supporting the car’s weight. The wheels themselves look flimsy and like they’d bend easily
It’s safe to say this modification doesn’t do much for ride comfort—bumpy roads would feel even worse. Plus, replacing those rims would likely cost a fortune if they got damaged. Where would you even go to get them repaired? A specialty rim or tire shop? Those aren’t exactly on every corner. And let’s not forget, the Amish prioritize practicality and simplicity in their lifestyle, so flashy, high-maintenance rims wouldn’t align with their values. This whole setup seems more like a novelty than a functional choice.
