 The fact that pets won't be there forever is the saddest thing about having them.  Unless, of course, you want to buy a tortoise as a pet.  Also, even though the typical lifespan of a dog is ten to thirteen years, some canines choose to live much longer than this range.  So, is it possible for all of us to give Pebbles, the 22-year-old dog, a round of applause?
