#38 My Cat Brings Me Gifts, She Has Strange Taste For Gifts
Being a devoted cat owner, I have grown to expect the unusual when it comes to the presents my feline friend decides would be best for me. While most people would picture cats delivering their owners the typical suspects – mice, birds, or the odd sock – my cat has a great gift for spotting the most unusual and surprising presents.
It all started with a wayward rubber band, artfully arranged on my pillow as though my cat were boldly showing me their most recent gift. The image made me laugh; I wondered what could have driven them to pick such a common object.
But that was only beginning. My cat’s gift-giving repertory has evolved over time to include everything from trash paper clips to the odd paperclip, each one presented with the same degree of zeal and pride.
I have even seen them in the act; their eyes glistening with mischief, they tenderly pick up a lone pebble or a wayward twist tie, lovingly dragging it to my feet as though it were a valuable diamond.
Although these presents might not have great traditional worth, they are evidence of my cat friend’s individual character. Their selection of products captures their own eccentric view of the world, and I feel privileged to be the beneficiary of these rather unusual gifts.
My cat’s unusual but charming gift taste surprises me still, and it reminds me that the quirky and unexpected frequently bring the real delight in life. And for that, I am especially appreciative of having such a wonderfully distinctive friend at my side.
