As we watched our furry buddy scamper across the house, their tail bouncing eagerly, they proudly dumped their latest prize at our feet — a binky, the sort often used by newborns. We couldn’t help but look in wonderment, wondering where on earth they had uncovered this odd gem.
But that’s the beauty of our pets, isn’t it? Their relentless passion and natural need to share their discoveries with us, no matter how unusual, remind us constantly that we really do not deserve the pure, unreserved love they bestow upon us.
At this moment, as we stare at the binky, held respectfully in our dog’s mouth, we are faced with the plain reality that our dogs have a potential for wonder and happiness sometimes lost to us.
