Though it had grown difficult to see Barney’s face behind all that matted fur, his owner thought his breed didn’t require grooming. Barney was sent to the veterinarian, where he was sedated, since things were dire. Shaved off from the dog’s body, the filthy, matted fur weighed an incredible 7.8kg!
