#12 Angkorvat, Cambodia

The most well-known temple complex at Angkor is called Angkor Wat, or simply Angkor. Between 1113 and 1150, 50,000 industrious men, 5000 sculptors, and 5000 stone carvers worked on it in 30 years of labor. Still serving as a center of worship, the complex is significant to both Buddhist and Hindu faiths. Crowds of tourists visit Angkorvat every year, and it has come to represent Cambodia even in the flag and crest.
