#7 The fort of Maunsell sea

There are rusty forts in the sea, reminiscent of a fleet of Imperial Walkers, poised to fire a laser beam towards the shore. The Maunsell Fortresses, remnants from World War II, stand as if waiting for sea monsters to slither around them. Built in 1942, the fortress squadron interconnected its buildings with a thin iron bridge when operational. Originally, there were three fortresses, but only two remain today. Each fortress had the same design: seven buildings surrounding a central tower. After World War II, they were decommissioned in 1950. A storm severely damaged the third fortress, and another ship scraped it, leading to its demolishment in 1959. The remaining two served as pirate radio stations during the 1960s and 1970s.
